Journey through the undergrowth

After enjoying the Suburban Wilderness on Saturday, we headed to the real wilderness yesterday to see it for ourselves. We went to the Mackenzie’s Flat side (Bachhus Marsh end) of Lederberg State Forest, and trekked through the undergrowth. It was really well sign-posted but we felt incredibly at the mercy of the bush as the trails were small and rocky and steep!

Driving home we forgot to take the right exit and ended up going way over the Bolte bridge. It turned out to be a beautiful mistake to make at sunset…
